Whiff of Joy - March Release - I Miss You

Hi again! I'm back with some more cuteness from Whiff of Joy :) This is another adorable little Gnome by Norma Fickel and he is called "I miss you".  He is available to buy on March 1st... so not too long to go!  I have also used the Whiff of Joy Sentiment set "General Sayings" - a great all round sentiment set that I pull out for everything and some of the new button twine. I just love the button twine!

I was trying out a new type of paper when I coloured this litle guy and I guess I need to alter my technique a bit with this paper as my reds didn't blend as well as I can usually get them :)

The papers are MME "Be loved" that I have had sitting in my paper shelves for a long long time. I thought it was a perfect opportunity to use them for this little cutie.
I also want to enter these challenges:

That is if from me this weekend, I have a lot of new stuff to show you over the next week or two... lots of exciting new releases from Whiff of Joy and Tickled Pink Stamps. So I will see you all soon!
Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs xx

Lime Tart Step by Step - accordion card

Good morning! Its Saturday! Yay! And the last weekend of summer... in the next few days it is going to be Autumn - fantastic. Autumn is my favourite season of they year. The air is already starting to get that crispness and the evenings are a slight mauve colour, I just love it. Soon all of the leaves on the trees will be changing colour. Its the best time in the garden :)

Today I have this little accordion card to show you that I made using the cutie Abigail Apple from Kraftin Kimmie. These is a step by step over on the Lime Tart Zest Blog if you want to have a go at making one yourself.

Whiff of Joy March Release - I Serenade You

Good morning! Yay! Its Friday! I hope everyone has something fun planned for the weekend.

I started this card with what I thought was a great idea, lol, and then about half way through I had that dreaded feeling that it wasn't going to work... maybe some of you have felt that before :) But then as I kept going, it started to come together again. Relief!

The cute stamp is "I Serendae You" a new release from Whiff of Joy for March. I just love these gnomes! I've used some beautiful paper from the Whiff of Joy paper pad which is currently available HERE and also some of the fabby new button twine... which you can find HERE.

I used my Nesties lables 10 to make an Easel card and kept all of the tones nice and neutral using my Copics in the E 40's. I've used the "outside the nestie" technique so the poor gnome's feet weren't chopped off by the nestie and all of the edges are sponged with DI Old Paper.

I'm going to enter this card into these challenges....
The ABC Challenge - Ovals
Stampin for the weekend - Monochrome
Simon Says Stamp - Coffee and Cream
Craft your Passion - Dude Time
Crafty Catz - One for the men

Thanks for stopping by :) Have a lovely weekend!

Crazy in love

Hi there :) I am back again today with another Magolia card. This card was ordered by a friend of my parents who's grandaughter recently became engaged. I thought this cute stamp of Edwin and Tilda hugging was perfect for an engagement card.

I have used the sketch from  Friday Sketchers #142 for the front of the card. The papers are Basic Grey and Sassafrass Lass.  As this card was for a very special occassion, I decorated the inside as well.

I also want to enter the card in
Just Magnolia and Hanglar Stanglar challenge #94 - Love You
The Ribbon Girl Challenge #5 - Pink, Brown and Cream
and Magnolia-licious Challenges - photo inspiration challenge (I've gone pink and brown)

Thanks for stopping by today :) Its getting quite late here now so I am off to bed.  See you tomorrow with a Whiff of Joy sneak peek - the new releases for March are too cute to miss!

Cupcake Craft Challenges GDT {Cake and Icecream}

Hi everyone, thank you for visiting today. How is your day going?

This is my third week as a Guest at Cupcake Craft Challenges and the challenge this week is a really fun one - Cake and Icecream! YUM! It gave me a chance to colour up my new "Birthday Tilda" and to try out a "taartpunt" (cake box). I've had the cut file for this for months and haven't tried it out so it was a fantastic opportunity to give it a go.

I've used the Doo Hickey dies "Old Swedish Lace" on the side edge of my card, some of the paper flowers and the leaves. The fabby sketch is from the challenge at Wild Orchid Crafts by Bev.

It is a bit hard to see in the photo, bt the cake and the pink 'satin' parts of Tilda's dress and shoes are all coats in Crystal Effects.

I have finally decorated the inside of a card as well, lol. I always seem to be in a rush to get things done so this time I was determined to finish the card properly.

The heart border is a die from Whiff of Joy. The cherry blossoms and mini roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The pink wild rose is Petaloo.

And finally, the cake box by itself.  The papers are a mix of Girls Paperie and MME. All of the edges are distressed with Walnut Stain and stitched.

Sorry, there were a lot of photos today! Thank you for staying with me if you have gotten this far :)

I also want to enter this card into some challenges....

I have used the adorable "King Tilda" and the balloon background from the You Are So Special collection.

The papers are Prima "Annalee" and the flowers are a mix of Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia.

Tilda is coloured with Copics (R 85, 83, 81, RV 10, 000). I've distressed all of the edges with my Tim Holtz edge distresser and added some stickles and pearls here and there.

I would like to enter cutie King Tilda into these challenges:

Whiff of Joy Challenges and Inspiration

Gosh, it's Wednesday already! This week is flying by.

Isn't this new Whiff of Joy stamp cute? It is Nora with Ducks, one of the new releases for February. She was fantastic to colour... but I didn't colour the entire image... part of it is paper pieced to tie in with the latest challenge over at Whiff of Joy Challenges this fortnight. If you are unsure how to paper piece, I have posted a tutorial on the Whiff of Joy Inspirations blog today so you can see how I made Nora's umbrella and boots coordinate with the card.

I hope you get a chance to come and play along with this great challenge.

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy's General Sayings set. The papers are Basic Grey Hopscotch.

I also want to send Nora over to play at:
Top Tip Tuesday - Stitching
The Sweet Stop - for their fantastic sketch
Our Creative Corner - Cut it Out

Cupcake Craft Challenges GDT - I {Heart} You

Happy Valentines day!!  Valentines Day is usually a bit of a non-event in our house, lol, but I had a bit of a horrible morning so at lunch time Hubby brought me home a big bunch of pink roses! It was such a lovely surprise, just what I needed to turn the day around :)

Today I have to show you my card for Cupcake Craft Challenges. It is my second week as a Guest DT for Cupcake Craft Challenges, and this week the challenge is.... I Heart You, pretty easy huh? It was the perfect opportunity for me to ink up my new "Tilda with Heart Lace" and cut up the great papers that are part of the new collection as well.

So as you can see, I went a tad heart crazy :) My gorgeous friend Debbie will be pleased, haha!

Tickled Pink Stamps "Lil Allsorts" Blog Hop

Hi! And welcome to my stop on the Tickled Pink Stamps "Lil Allsorts" blog hop release.

You should have arrived here from the uber talented Kylie Crosley (aka Brown)... but if you didn't, you might like to start at the beginning at AMY'S blog (trust me - you don't want to miss Amy's stop!).

The hop will run until Feb 17th and during these few days you will have a chance to win some amazing prizes... but you have to continue your way through the hop leaving comments as you go in order to win win win! If you get lost along the way, please stop by the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to find a list for the entire hop.

I have used the lovely "Kira" for my creation. If you know Kellie (the owner of TPS) you will know her eldest daughter's name is Kira :) Isn't that sweet? So I have coloured Kira's hair red, in honour of her namesake.

Instead of a card this time, I thought I would try my hand at decorating a gift bag. I've also used the gorgeous sentiment stamp from the Valentines Sentiments for my bag.

The paper is some older Kaisercraft (Flutterby) and I've used some corrugated cardboard (ahem, cardboard box, lol, inspired by the boss lady, Kellie, herself) behind the image for some texture. There are some rhinestones and a prima gem to match the sparkle added to Kira's wings and boots. The boots are actually coloured using the "feather blending" technique with my RV21 and YR04. There wasn't much room to blend in those boots, lol, but I got there.

The next stop on the hop is the amazing Magali!

I am entering the lovely Kira in these challenges:
City Crafter 43 - All that Glitters
DYSU - Ribbon
Craft us Crazy - Anything Goes
Craft your Passion - Anything Goes
Charisma Cards - Mythical/Fantasy
Fab n Funky - Texture
Simon Says Challenge - Anything but a card

Big Ribbon Tilda

Ohh - it is the weekend. Yay! I think we are going to have a quiet one, catching up.

I've had this cutie sitting coloured up for a while and I wanted to try something a little bit different so the card isn't what you would normally see when visiting me, but I hope you like it anyway :)

This is Big Ribbon Tilda from the You are So Sweet Collection recently released. She is just gorgeous isn't she? The amazing papers are Prima "Annalee" (from Lime Tart). I've sort of patched the patterned papers together with some zig zag stitching rather than layering them.

I have stamped the sweet sentiment directly onto the patterned paper as well.. something I really dare to do in case I rock the stamp a little and ruin the entire card! The gorgeous glittery heart is Melissa Frances.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Hearts and Flowers
Paperplay - Hearts and Flowers (no valentines)
City Crafter - All that Glitters
Copic Creations - We are cool
Crafty Cardmakers - Have a heart
Cutie Sunday - Hearts

Tickled Pink Stamps Feb release "Lil Allsorts" - Sir Rupert

Hi - and welcome to day 4 of Tickled Pink Stamps February preview... can you see why the release is called "Lil Allsorts" yet? Yep, it is a bit of a mixed bag of cutie Lads and Lolitas and fun animals.

This sly guy is Sir Rupert.  I've gone for the distressed look on my card with him being a fox but have chosen to use 7 Gypsies papers as he is a little bit more distinguished than most foxes ;)

The collection is being released one day at a time and we will finish on the 13th with a fun blog hop so make sure you mark your calendars to come and check it out.  In the meantime, please click over to the Tickled Pink Stamps blog to make sure you haven't missed out on the previews for day two and three and of course to check out what the rest of the DT have put together to share with you. The girls have gone all out for this release.

Cupcake Craft Challenges - GDT for Feb

I was so excited to be asked to be a guest designer at Cupcake Craft Challenges this month! Thank you so much to Faye and the Team for asking me.

For my first week, the challenge is Seeing Red and I've chosen this gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp (from Tickled Pink Stamps)and K & Co paper (from Lime Tart) for my card. I've had this stamp sitting in my collection waiting for some attention since October or November, so this was the perfect opportunity to ink it up.  I just love Sarah Kay stamps - I can't wait for the new ones to arrive in my mail box!

The label shape was cut using my Cricut and the stamped image is coloured with Copics and cut using a Nestie "Deckled Rectangles". The sentiment is Whiff of Joy.

So I hope you get a chance to join in with the "Seeing Red" fun!!

Tickled Pink Stamp Lil Allsorts Feb release : Pirate Frankie

Are you ready for a super February release week from Tickled Pink Stamps?? We have some really fun stamps to share with you starting today and ending up on the 13th with a big PINK blog hop and the release of these great stamps.

Today's prefiew is Pirate Frankie. I had a bit of fun with Pirate Frankie. There seems to be a bit of a tendancy for most stamp companies to favour little girls in their stamps, and well, why not, it is predominately a female hobby... but I have two small boys and I love all stamps that I can use for them... and Pirtate Frankie - he is just what I am looking for.

I used the cute sentiment from Tickled Pink Stamps birthday sentiments from October's release and some accessory stamps from Magnolia to create a cute little beach scene for Frankie.  The papers are MME Fine and Dandy "True Blue".

Challenges for Pirate Frankie are:
Totally Gorjuss - The Sketch
The ABC Challenge - Nesties

Magnolia Down Under Challenges #82 - Love

Good morning and happy Sunday everyone! My card today is for Magnolia Down Under Challenges..and the challenge this week is love!

I have used the adorable "Amor Tilda" from the Love Collection 2009. I have wanted this Tilda for a while and I finally bought her as a little pressie to myself a couple of weeks ago. I think she is adorable.

I've made a circle shaped card and used my Doo Hickey dies to make the paper lace around the edge and the Doily die for one of the layers, Nesties "Classic Circles" and "Lacey Circles" for another layer. I've probably gone a bit nuts and over done the card, but oh well, it was fun to do :)

I wanted to colour Tilda's clothes in Copic colour B52 to match the pretty roses on the paper... but it is one of those lonely colours with nothing lighter or darker to blend with (poor B52, lol) so I used the tip to tip technique to colour the dress and headband.

All of the papers are distressed and sponged with Distress Ink "Old Paper". The sketch is from Mojo Monday and the papers are Magnolia as well. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.

This card is also on my Magnolia only blog ... HERE

The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges meet Ticked Pink Stamps Challenges

Ohhh - woohoo! It is Friday again! For some reason all day yesterday I thought it was Friday so it was a bit of a shock last night when I realised that nope, I was a day out.

Anyway... my card for today is a dual purpose card. There is a new challenge today over at The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges. This month we are sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps and the challenge is... Birthday Wishes. I have used the adorable "Mollie Mittens with Balloon" from Tickled Pink Stamps for my card...

There is also a new challenge over at the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges. This week the challenge is "Punchy Pink" - so you have to use PUNCHES on your work. I think I pulled out half of my punches for this card! Not to mention a good selection of dies as well, lol.

I also want to share some news about two candies that some friends have at the moment...

Jane is currently giving away the suave "Luca" from Tickled Pink Stamps... if you would like to win him, please be very quick as he is drawn today... click HERE to enter.

Whiff of Joy February release - Skater Ben

Ohhh - do I have a CUTIE to share with you today.  This is Skater Ben, one of the cutie new releases from Whiff of Joy this month.  Quite often I find that the boys stamps I have just aren't quite right for a fun boy birthday card, but this stamp - I love it. He is perfect.

I've also used the great new paper pad from Whiff of Joy, the Pennant die and "General Sayings" sentiment set.

I thought I'd have a bit of fun with the background on the image and drew in a path and coloured the grass and sky. I used Annika's awesome tutorial to do the sky. Gawd - that girl can colour!

Anyway, I would like to enter this cutie into these challenges:
Create 4 Fun's fabby sketch
Dutch Dare - Buttons
Little Red Wagon - Kraft

Labybug Tilda loves spots!

Hi there! I hope you're having a great day. I have Ladybug Tilda here to share with you today from the Raising the Ceiling/Right Through my Heart collection from 2010. This was the first time that I've actually coloured this little darling up.  I actually made this card for another purpose but I've since made something else for that 'purpose' lol, so I can show you her today.

I thought I'd have some fun with my Cricut and cut out the hearts from the Basic Grey June Bug paper pad. The white paper lace is cut with the Magolia Doo Hickey die "Tilda's Lace". The cute sentiment is from the 2009 Love Collection.

All of Tilda's little hearts have had some stickles added. She is coloured with Copics. I've created some grass for little Tilda to stand on and sponged the clouds in the background.

I've punched out little hearts from the DP and some cardstock, stacked them and given them a dose of Glossy Accents. The roses and cherry blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

And of course a little ladybug embellishment to finish :)

I am entering this card into these challenges:

OMGoodness - so excited! Thank you everyone at WOC!

Whiff of Joy Challenges #97

Hi! Are you ready for another Whiff of Joy challenge? We are up to challenge #97 already - wow.

This week the challenge is... Love is in the Air... pretty appropriate considering Valentines Day is only ... 12 days away! I've chosen not to make a Valentines Day card though, I thought I'd go with Love of a different kind....the Mum and Bub kind of love :)

I have had this gorgeous stamp for about a year now and its only seen ink once... terrible I know. But I've been itching to use it so this was the opportunity I needed :)

The beautiful stamp is "Willow with Toddler" and being a Mummy of two little boys, I of course had to colour the toddler in blue. I've also used the new Whiff of Joy "Cute Heart" dies.

The papers are Kaisercraft "Homemade" and I cut the image out using Nestabilities Labels #4. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Some challenges for this sweetie are:

Have a great day!
