Whiff of Joy March Release - I Serenade You

Good morning! Yay! Its Friday! I hope everyone has something fun planned for the weekend.

I started this card with what I thought was a great idea, lol, and then about half way through I had that dreaded feeling that it wasn't going to work... maybe some of you have felt that before :) But then as I kept going, it started to come together again. Relief!

The cute stamp is "I Serendae You" a new release from Whiff of Joy for March. I just love these gnomes! I've used some beautiful paper from the Whiff of Joy paper pad which is currently available HERE and also some of the fabby new button twine... which you can find HERE.


I used my Nesties lables 10 to make an Easel card and kept all of the tones nice and neutral using my Copics in the E 40's. I've used the "outside the nestie" technique so the poor gnome's feet weren't chopped off by the nestie and all of the edges are sponged with DI Old Paper.

I'm going to enter this card into these challenges....

    This is fabulous! Yes, I know exactly what you mean about when a card feels like it's not going to work, but in your case this one certainly did. What a beautiful job. Your work with the copics is fantastic!

    Kylie, this is beautiful indeed. I think it came together just perfectly. Great shades of brown (my fave color). Spectacular coloring!

    I am so glad you kept going because this came out fantastic. Love his feet sticking out and love the shape of the card. Haven't quite figured out how to do that with the nesties. is there a Tutorial somewhere?

    Oh Kylie, you're not on your own - so many of my cards don't travel from head to paper!!!
    Well worth the struggle as it turned into a simple stunning card!!! Love your beautifully coloured cute gnome, your layout, papers and your beautiful embellishments.

    I've had those moments quite often, but usually it doesn't come back to me when I go on. I've to put it aside for a while and than I come up with a great idea or something completely else.

    It's great that yours came together, because I think is a lovely one.
