Wild Orchid Crafts 33 - Make it Sparkle with Stars

Ohhh - Christmas is getting closer! Just three months to go! And yes, I have finally started to get into the Chrissy mood.  The new challenge at Wild Orchid Crafts Challenges today is to "Make it Sparkle with Stars" so I thought I'd make a little candle holder decoration.

What a great opportunity to break out the German Glitter Glass. OMG. I am in love with this stuff. I've used two types on my candle holder - 100 grit and 80 grit.  I recycled an olive jar and when clean, dipped the rim in glue and then Silver German Glitter Glass 80 Grit. It gives a pretty sparkly result doesn't it?  Then I've used some of the stunning Purple German Glitter Glass in 100 Grit on the star. It is stuck in place with Glossy Accents. It is just perfect for German Glitter Glass.

I've used quite a few Wild Orchid Crafts goodies for my candle holder - White Seam binding, Large and Small Poinsetias, Lace, 10 mm Open Roses, Button Twine, Silver bells, Pearl Spray.

There is some pretty cheesecloth under the gorgeous Magnolia paper which I've punched around with my fav MS punch. The adorable stamp is from last year's Magnolia Christmas Collection "Merry Little Christmas" - Tilda with Star. I think she is one of my favourites. Although I can not wait to get my hands on this year's Chrissy collection - have you seen them yet? I am just GREEN with envy of my crafty friends who were lucky enough to get to Stampel Mekka this year and get them early - you lucky lucky ladies!!

I would like to enter a couple of challenge as well....
Fun with Shapes - Christmas and stars
If the Shoe Fits - Bejewelled Blue
Fashionable Stamping Challenges - Vintage
Paper Sundaes - Anything Goes
CES Challenge - Recycle

And just to make you smile, here are my two best ever creations - my little boys! They are 'helping' me while I am trying to take pics of my candle holder, lol. They thought it was great fun blowing out the candle over and over. Cheeky little monkeys!

And the cheekiest monkey of all, my eldest. What a smile. Every day he begins to look more and more like his Daddy. I am the luckiest Mum in the world to have two amazing little boys. I fall in love with them both more and more every single day.

Ok, enough sappiness from me :) I'll let you get back to your day.
Thanks for visiting me!
Big hugs
Kylie xx
