Pearls & Lace for Whiff of Joy challenges and WOYWW 109

Well, I promised I'd be back and here I am. There is a great new challenge up at Whiff of Joy Challenges this week and we are looking for Pearls and Lace.

I have inked up Musing Melinda, one of my favourite WOJ stamps and cut into my favourite Prima stack of the year, Sparkling Spring. There is distressing, inking with DI's (Antique Linen) and some watercolouring going on here. I cut the card base with a Grand nestie and my *new* Grand Calibur machine which arrived this week..... it was a birthday pressie from my boys but after weeks of harrassing a certain online scrap store which I will not name publically, it finally arrived... ok, whinge over, lol. I try not to do too much of that on my blog, I like to save it for my patient Hubby :)

I only have one pic to share of my card because the winter light here is just awful. We have had gale force winds and it is bitterly cold and unusually dark here. In Australia, Canberra is notorious for its unfriendly winters due to our proximity to the snow fields, but I dont remember it being this cold and blustery for a few years. I can only hope that it pays off with some lovely snow :) I love snow!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:

So to make up for my lack of photos of my card... I am daring to share a photo of my desk today for WOYWW #109....... wow, its  a MESS hehehe. I do clean it up, I have several times in the last week, but each time I sit down I just seem to mess it up again... oops! Anyway, sitting proudly on my desk are the June and July scrap kits from The Scrapbook Nook which arrived on my doorstep today. I have been in awe of Zarah's work for some time so I had to head over there and check out what was on offer and temptation got the better of me and I subscribed to three months. Yay! So now I have a bunch of lovely papers and embellies to drool over for a bit before I dare cut into them.   Thanks Zarah for the inspiration!

Just check out those October Afternoon papers (from the July kit on the left)...mmm... they are just gorgeous. I can these working so well with photos of my boys. And on the right is the June kit with gorgeous Lilybee Design bits. The chipboard album isnt part of the kit, just some extras that I've been searching for on the net forever and found. Yay!! Ok... now to find the time to use them all!! Eeek!! hahaha.

Well.. I'm headed out to use the cross trainer... sigh...its hard work trying to get into shape! But both Hubby and I are seeing results, so it is well worth it.  And once that is over, I can sit back down at my craft desk and play with pretty papers and stamps!

Have a great day,
Hugs x
