TOMIC #3

Happy Monday everyone!

There is a new challenge up over at the TOMIC blog today!  This week we have a fun theme for you to play with... SUMMER - we would like you to use your Magnolia stamps to create something Summer themed.

I've used two of the new stamps from the Sweet Rainbow collection - Watercan Tilda and Bird Background. I have watercoloured again! I find it really relaxing to paint as I have to slow down being a newbie to it. My friend Louise sent me some of her favourite watercolour paper to try - Louise Hunny - I love it!  When I colour with Copics I tend to speed through the colouring process.

I've made a Pop up card. I have seen these on various blogs in the past few months and I really wanted to give one a go. Then my friend Colleen posted a tutorial on the Lime Tart Zest blog - Thanks Col!  They are surprisingly easy. I followed the tutorial to the letter, with the exception of the size of my card. I wanted to punch around the page, so I started with a 5 inch x 6.75 inch piece of kraft cardstock.

Here it is closed:

And a side view....

We would love to see what you create for us this week, if you have a chance to make a Magnolia creation, please play along with our Summer theme :) We love checking out your work.

Thanks for dropping by to see me today, I really appreciate your visit. I'll be back later in the week with something else to share with you.

Hugs xx
