Hi everyone! I bet you thought I'd lost my Magnolia stamps hey? hehehe - Never!
I am soooo into the Christmas spirit already - and it is only just November! Woohoo! Last year I was struggling to get all of my Christmas cards done in time but this year I've started early...but then... I also need a heap more too, hehehe. And a little teaser...I'm also feeling a bit like sharing the Christmas spirit around... so keep an eye out for a little bit of candy **coming soon**!
This cute little Edwin was a part of the Fall Stamp Club, isn't he adorable? I thought I'd give my new Cricut a bit of a test drive and created this scalloped circle easel card. It was so fast and easy! I used to trace a circle and cut it out by hand, then to hide my dodgy scissor work get out my distressing tool, lol, but none of that anymore!
The challenge this week at Just Magnolia is "Anything Goes" with the option to use beads. I raided my bead collection and found a hat pin waiting to be decorated, so that is my beaded element.

The flowers are cut with the new Magnolia Doo Hickeys out for Christmas with some vellum. I was a bit surprised how well they turned out. I then sponged the edges with some distress ink and pinned them together with brads. Overall I guess the card is a bit simpler than my usual cards, but I stopped myself from going too far so Edwin could shine :) The challenge at Cute Card Thursday this week is Gently Does It (use Vellum/Partchment or Tissue paper).

Hi Kylie, your card is so pretty. I have a cricut too but haven't used it to make shaped easel cards. Which cartridge did you use? Also you must've used the Design Studio or the gypsy, correct?
