I thought I'd have a play with this gorgeous Whiff of Joy image "Autumn Charlotte" this weekend. The challenge this fortnight at Whiff of Joy Challenges is "Distressing" so I thought I would play along.
I used my scissors to distress the edges of my cardstock and DP. Normally I use my edge distresser but sometimes I think the scissors do a better job. I have then inked the edges of the image and die cuts with "Vintage Photo" and have used Distress Paint "Picket Fence" on the edges of the DP. And I used my Whiff of Joy Pennants die again, I love this die!
The sketch is from Sketch Saturday and that gorgeous DP is from the Sassafrass Lass "Mix and Mend" 6x6 pad (available at Tickled Pink Stamps).
The challenge at Stampin for the Weekend is Halloween/Fall and as I am a little bit Halloween'ed out this year I have gone for the Fall theme.
I went a bit overboard with the flowers but I really liked the rustic look of them with the leaves. ABC Challenge is looking for F for Flowers this week.
