Flowers and lace for MDUC #65

Hi there! It is a long weekend here in Canberra this week - yay! Gotta love that. I think we will be spending the day out in the garden today though, after a long winter there is quite a big of weeding and tidying up to be done.

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we have a nice easy challenge for you - Flowers and Lace. I had some beautiful chocolate lace from Websters Pages arrive in the mail this week which I had to use. I also inked up my recently acquired Right Through your Heart Tilda - isn't she lovely?

The cardstock that I used to colour her on is something very new to me. I normally use Xpress it Blending card, but this is Cryogen Irridescent White - and WOW - what a fantastic alternative to the Xpress It. Like the Xpress It, the Cryogen is a dream to blend on although this is my first time using it, but what is unique is the shimmery finish to the paper. I tried to get a good photo of this to show you but this is the best I could come up with:

Pretty cool hey? I love it. But guess what? It is not available here in Australia! Of course. Sigh. So if you want any, expect to pay hefty postage to get some out here. I have a small stash of this awesome cardstock which I will be saving for special occassions :o) (Thanks so much Claudia). I still LOVE the Xpress It Blending card of course, I just think that the Cryogen is also a really nice paper alternative.

Ingredients for this card are:

Copic colours: E 0000, 000, 00, 11, 13, 41, 43, 44, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, R 000, 00, 20, 22
Stamps: Magnolia: Right Through your Heart Tilda, SU Tiny Tags
Papers: Websters mini Pages, Kaisercraft Secret Bird Society, SU Cardstock - Kraft and Choc Chip, Cryogen Irridescent White
Embellishments: Websters Lace, Velvet ribbon, Silver heart charm, Flowers and Pin (Wild Orchard Crafts), Paper Heart Doily and Flourish with a Bling (Tickled Pink Stamps), Stickles Diamond,
Other: Magnolia Doo Hickeys Swedish Lace (Tickled Pink Stamps), Concentric Hearts Cuttlebug Die, Cuttlebug, Sewing Machine, Tag punch,
