All buttoned up for Lil Lolita Boutique #15

This week at the Lil Lolita Boutique we are looking for BUTTONS!! Now, I am a bit challenged in the department of buttons so I kept it down to just three.

My card turned out a little vintagey which isnt what I expected but Iwas pleased, lol. I just love these papers and they suit the lovely '20's Evie perfectly.

And I paper pieced!! I usually am terrified of paper piecing but I was complete in awe of THIS creation by the amazing Annika (scroll down, its the 2nd card in the post) - I'd never seen paper piecing done like this before so I HAD to try it out - thanks Annika for the inspiration! Usually paper piecing is a little flat looking, but Annika's had such depth - thanks to her use of.... COPICS!!! Yay for Copics! I used W 0, 1, 3 to give Evie's clothing some depth.....

**CAUTION** - I need to let you know that some printed papers are not Copic compatible - the ink/dyes may run and ruin your marker tip. Please ensure you test your papers very carefully before attempting this. I used the chisel end of my marker on a scrap piece of the Basic Grey Wisteria paper first to see if the inks "wicked" onto the marker.

And here is a close up of the paper piecing.

So don't forget to head over to the Bouqitue to check out the rest of the amazing creations by the design team. We have a couple of new girls in the Boutique so please stop by thier blogs and leave them some love.

Oh - did you notice my extra special new watermark? The wonderful Heather Rolin (designer of Let it Rock and Going Batty stamps sets for Tickled Pink Stamps) created one of these for each of the Pink Ladies - how sweet is that? Thank you so much Heather!!
