Mad for Markers

Hello and welcome to my first post on my blog for Mad for Markers. I am so excited to have been chosen by the gorgeous Sammi to be on her design team. For our first post we were able to choose any image to be coloured in any colours we wanted. I, of course, have chosen a Magnolia image. You will probably see many Magnolia's from me over the next few months. LOL. I am supposed to be waiting until tomorrow morning to post this... but I am just so excited, I figure 45 mins or so won't hurt... will it Sammi?

For my card I have used the following Copic Sketch markers:
Skin: E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair: Y23, E31, E34
Umbrella and boots: YR15 (underside of umbrella), Y35, Y38, Y21, C1, C3,
Coat and puddle: B00 and blender 0 (amazing what you can do with one marker and a blender!)
Outline: B60

Mad for Markers have the complete range of Copics as well as Neenah and X-Press IT cardstock available for your images. You should head over there and check out the low low prices!

Sammi sent each of the DT a package of card stock to test out - including Neenah and new Copic X-Press IT blending card. Now, I am a Neenah lover - completely devoted, and was so relieved when I heard Sammi was opening her Mad for Markers store and stocking it. On this card though, I tried out the Copic X-Press It card - and I am HOOKED. I will be purchasing a whole lot of this (as well as restocking my Neenah) when my current stash gets low. The X-Press It is fantastic to blend on.

The other items used on my card are Kaisercraft paper from their Devonshire collection in "Aurora", Stampin Up coloured cardstock in Soft Sky and Summer Sun and Vintage brads, Kindyglitz in Crystalina, the large yellow rose is Prima, doily, lace and smaller flowers and leaves from my stash.

Stay tuned in for next week as we are having our first Mad for Markers challenge!

Have a great Easter!
