Shabby Chic Sarah Kay

Happy Thursday everyone! Simon Says Stamp Challenges has a fantastic challenge this week - SHABBY CHIC!!! I love Shabby Chic. Can you tell? Although my house is anything but... my husband prefers modern asian resort style (is that even a style?), but I have managed to get a few quilts over the couches here and there!

Anyhoo.... on to my card (I tend to go off the subject a bit don't I?) - this is what I came up with. I just love the Sarah Kay stamps from Stampavie. They remind me of birthday cards I used to get as a child when the images were used by John Sands.

The crochet flower is made by yours truly. And the little coffee coloured roses are from Bizzy Becs range and I am in love with them - I had coffee coloured roses in my wedding bouquet.

The layout is from Card Patterns challenge sketch #46 and I used the recipe from A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge #86 A recipe - 3 pieces designer paper, 1 piece ribbon, 3 flowers and 3 buttons. And because I used stitching on the card, I can also enter her in the Just us Girls challenge "Stitching"
