Good morning! Well, it is Sunday here and very early for me to be doing a post, but the rest of the family is still sleeping!
I made this card last night for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 30 - Valentines. My hubby isn't really the romantic kind, but he does have a fabo sense of humour, so I decided to use the little monkey stamp (again) for my card. Previously I had just assumed this monkey was a boy, but when I was colouring last night I decided that it was actually a little girl monkey - so I've named her Millie. I just loved the sentiment.
The challenge at Basic Grey this week is for Animals and I had been wanting to enter a challenge over there for some time but I find it hard to buy Basic Grey papers locally. Not sure what is going on there! Anyway, I did manage to find these two designer papers last week with this card in mind and I just loved them! They are from the Basic Grey range "Sugared" and are "Delightful" (the background) and "Beloved" the DP piece on the heart (gorgeous little giraffes and flamingos).
The card didn't really turn out as I had pictured it in my mind, but I am happy with it nonetheless. In the photo it is a bit hard to see but there are little gold hear charms on the beads under the gorgeous green flower.

A little close up of Millie

I decided to use this sketch from Just Magnolia, only tweaking it with a heart instead of the rectangle.

While I was making this little number last night, a bunch of new challenges were released which it fits with perfectly:
Allsorts - Hearts & Flowers - I think I have that covered!
One Stop - Love & Kisses - I hope my little animal on my DP count!
Stamp Something - Funny Somethings
Oops - kids are awake! I'll be back later to let you all know the origins of my ingredients!
