A Sympathy card

Hi everyone. I hope your Wednesday is treating you well.

I really don't know what to write today. Yesterday I heard some heart breaking news from a blogging friend, her 2 month old granddaughter passed away to SIDS. As a mother, I just cannot even begin to understand the grief her daughter and entire family must be going through right now. It is just devastating. It is something no parent should ever have to endure.

Not really knowing what words to say I ended up sitting and making a sympathy card. My first ever. And hopefully I will not have to make another one anytime soon.

My friend is a Maggie fan so I wanted to make a card using a Magnolia stamp, I thought this sweet little "Wrapped Violet" was perfect.

I won't go into too many details about the card today. If you happen to know the person in question (and I know some of you do), maybe you would like to send her a card as well. Feel free to contact me if you require address details.

I'll be back a bit later in the week.
Until then, take care
Hugs xx

  5. Oh Kylie your card is so perfect. I was thinking about which image to use myself... I've never made a sympathy card either, and I'm not much on them in the first place, I guess that's because I've seen far to many of them... But I do know your beautiful card will be perfect for our friend:-)

  9. How devastating for the entire family. I takes nothing to say a prayer for those left behind, even if they are not know to us and I will do just that. Your card is just gorgeous, especially as a mark of remembrance for the life of a little one. My thoughts and prayers go out to your friend and her family.

  12. It's very sad news. Why did this have to happen?
You did a great supporting job by making this beautiful card.
Today I've heard also sad news of a colleague, just 13 weeks pregnant and the baby is not well at all.... I just can't describe the feelings and feel so sad for her. Live goes on they say, but sometimes that's so hard to imagine.

    groetjes, Ellen

  26. Your card is absolutely beautiful and it looks as though you put your heart and soul into it, and it will be appreciated by the family I am sure! I am so sorry for the loss of your friends little one. We can never understand why such a little one has to be taken so young and how horrible the loss must be for her family! Being a Grandmother myself, it is heartbreaking to even imagine their loss. They will be in my heart and prayers!
