Me @ (34) - another scrap layout :D

Hi again.. I think I might have become a tad addicted... oh dear.... I'm back with another scrap layout... I couldnt help it, really, I ordered this gorgeous new paper, it is by Cosmo Cricket from their new Odds and Ends range. This stunning floral sheet is called "Remnant" and the reverse side is the aqua and white dots. I am in lurve with this paper! Not the entire collection though, hahaha. I tend to do that with Cosmo Cricket, love one or two bits and not all of it? Strange. Anyway, WAY off track here :D As I was saying this amazing sheet of paper arrived in the mail and I couldn't cut into it to make a card but I had to use it straight away... so everything else on my craft desk was swept aside and I went to work...

I did have a few issues though... our printer died! OMG OMG OMG - my printer is really old, I've had it since before I met my husband hahaha. Technology and I rarely last together for more than a year or two, so this was a seriously much loved printer, not bad really as it was fairly inexpensive. So I started this layout with a scrap of paper 6x4 as a bit of a proxy for the photo until our fabby new printer arrived yesterday (thank you gorgeous Hubby).

The layout is based on two challenges.... the sketch is from Pencil Lines #244 and the colour combo is from The Color Room, palette #64.

I am a newbie to both of these challenges and I am a bit nervous to enter scrapping challenges to be honest! I'm sure I felt this way the first time I entered card challenges too, lol.

So I guess everyone now knows how old I am hahaha :D I decided to do a layout for myself because there are very few photos of me at all since I had the boys and my paper craft addiction is all for myself so I thought it would be nice to concentrate on me for a change. Everything else I do all day is focused entirely on my family (who I adore with everything I am) that it just felt nice to have a little me space. I think the next layout I do will be about the boys though, I have an adorable photo in mind that I have to print out.

So.... the detailed pics.... The large pink fabric flower is by Prima and was part of a candy I won from by friend Kellie before we actually knew each other. Don't you love how this crafty bloggy world just opens up your life and puts you in touch with so many wonderful people around the world? Kellie actually only lives about 6 hours drive away, lol, but still.. around the world :) hahaha. The white helleborous, white cherry blossom and bright yellow mini rose are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The lemony rose on the side is from Kaisercraft. And there is a little Melissa Francis vintage door lock peeking out there too.

The wooden butterflies are kaisercraft, the foam letters are American Crafts Thickers and the "@" I cut on my cricut. I need to learn how to use my cricut a bit better :S next thing on my list..... oh, the gorgeous white flower is from Prima

The amazing blingy frame I wish I could share where that is from. Its been in my stash for a while without packaging and I am kicking myself for that as I would love more of these. It is really gorgeous IRL, the pics just don't do it justice.

The phrase is by Kaisercraft...a rub on.

A close up of the punching, ric rak, lace and stitching... the edges are distressed and inked with Antique Linen DI.

Oh, just another photo for fun.

And finally! The end! haha :D Thanks for hanging around this long.... I'm so sorry that I have so many photos here today, but I really enjoyed the creative journey of putting this page together. I just love the colour palette from The Color Room. If you are new to scrapping like me, I seriously advise you to head over and check out the work by the DT and also the amazing entries from everyone else. It is just amazing inspiration.

I'll be back tomorrow to share a card! Yep, I still make cards hahaha.  And don't forget to check out the NEW sketch challenge blog my friends and I are starting on July 9th... Pink {INK} its going to be heaps of fun and we'd love to see you there!

Ok.. I'm really going now.  Bye bye - see you tomorrow!
