Good morning! I've got my first ever Sweet Pea card to share with you. It is “ching-chou kuik Ladybug“, and wow, what a fun image to colour!
Over on Lime Tart's Zest Blog I've put together a little step by step to show you how I used the Paper Tole technique to make the gorgeous Ladybug pop out of the card. I've used a transparency sheet for one of the layers of the wings. The base image is coated in Distress Crackle Paint "Rock Candy" to give it a cracked glass effect as well. But you're going to have to click over to the Zest Blog to find out more ;)
And here is the finished card. The papers are Basic Grey Curio - aren't they gorgeous? All of the supplies for this card are from Lime Tart's A La Tart kit for January. See that fabulous Prima Canvas? Yup, I've used it again! I've distressed all of the edges with Walnut stain distress ink, and used my Tim Holtz edge distressing tool as well.
