***Don't forget to check out my CANDY! ---> ***
I am very lucky to have been asked to be a Guest DT member for 7 Kids College Fund Challenges this fortnight, so a HUGE thanks to the gorgeous Mary and the entire talented team!! I am so very excited to have been asked. And I had a blast making my card for the challenge. Oh! I'd better tell you about the challenge, lol.
So the challenge set for this fortnight is "Non-traditional Christmas Colours" - so of course I went with pink ;) And of course I used a cute Magnolia stamp (or two!) for the occassion.
I cut into my beautiful Websters Pages minis "Sweet Season" christmas papers (I know, I know... it was really difficult!) and got out my doo hickeys. I used Secret Tilda and the Candycane accessory. Tilda actually was holding a present behind her... but I cut it off and put the candycane in there instead. I think she looks cute :) I coloured her in Copics on Bee Paper and then did some (dodgy) watercolouring for the shaddows in Walnut Stain distress ink. So here she is... does she look Christmassy?
I followed a cute tutorial for ribbon scrunching (the cream 6mm ribbon) which you can find HERE, and added some lace and inked the edges of all paper and cardstock. The tag and sentiment are SU! and the little gold resin Christmas tree is from my local craft store. I think it was intended for gift wrapping, but hey, it works here too :) Oh, and of course, a little gold bell for good measure!
Some challenges to enter for this Pink Sweetie are.....
Fussy and Fancy - Christmas with no red or green
Totally Gorjuss - Non traditional Christmas
All that Scraps - Magnolia Challenge #4 - Something Christmas
