A Magnolia Birthday card for my Dad

Well, it is the season of birthday's in my family! May through July are very busy around here. Last weekend it was my Dad's birthday so I wanted to make a card for him using Magnolia stamps, but he really isn't a Tilda or Edwin kinda person! So I used the accessory stamps again.

I really love this Summer background and Palm tree. I also used the balloon part of the image from Tilda with Balloons to stamp off a few balloons to have floating around.

To make the frame, I followed the fabulous tutorial by lovely Debbie for faux wood. I then added some antique brads for the corners. There is a little starfish charm on the tag with a couple of little heart charms (I couldn't help myself). The stripy blue paper is from the Magnolia Lazy Summer Days pack available at Tickled Pink Stamps.

I am going to enter the card in the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenges - For the Boys
One Stop Craft Challenges - For the Boys
Stamp Something - Summer Somethings
